Out-of-context quotes from my work in progress

I’m well stuck into what I hope is my last draft of my next novel, and I thought I’d share the occasional quotation from the book:

The sirens were an old technology, originally invented so that everyone knew it was time to “duck and cover”, which is an old-fashioned way of preparing to be incinerated by a fissionable device.

I hope it will be ready for prime time by the Fall. If you’re dying to read a book in the meanwhile, perhaps you could check out one of my other novels, or my new collection, Pirate Therapy and Other Cures.

  1. Thanks Alenja — I’ll pop the occasional quote up when I hit something I can post without giving any of the book away :)
