You know what Harvey hated? He really hated it when people misquoted things or used sayings the wrong way.
For example: the proof is in the pudding.
“No fucker.” Harvey would say, “the proof isn’t in the god-damned pudding, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
“Like, it’s not, ‘you have your cake and eat it too.’ Of course you can. What you can’t do, you miserable pustule, is you can’t eat your cake and have it too.
“Jackoff.”
Just to let you know that I haven’t removed you from my blogroll…I’ve just moved the blogroll to another part of my site. This is because I wanted extra space in my sidebar to accomodate for the new web forum I installed recently, that’s all.
I’ve always understood “you can’t have your cake and eat it, too.” I’ve tried ‘splainin it to people, but noone ever understands.
I’m not good at ‘splainin things.
That’s a legitimately unhappy rabbit you’ve got speaking there…
Er, um, ok.
Don’t get Harvey started on “begs the question” either!
