Jenna hated physical education. All the girls stared at her in the change-room (she was one of the first to develop), and her hand-eye coordination was rotten.

Reaping class, on the other hand, was her favorite.

She especially liked the cries of existential anguish as she tore souls from bodies.

  1. One teacher who ran the grass burial class told us that Jenna smiled intensely at the brown stains from the grass she reaped. She didn’t like the bright color green in developed grass. She said in burial class that the souls seemed to float away as she laid them to rest. But the teacher stated that the dead grass only floated because Jenna couldn’t aim properly to throw the grass a few inches into the grave.

Let me know what you think.

  2. I think it’s a shame to bury grass, but I agree that Jenna would probably be bad at it. 🙂

  3. Highlarious, loved this bit! As always your joy is a blog to read, and please realize that while I do not always comment, I do always read. Namaste.
