"Foothills"
"Foothills Mac" Ruddock

"Foothills Mac" Ruddock Raised by coyotes and fed a steady diet of prairie dogs, "Foothills Mac" Ruddock grew to manhood in the shadow of the mighty Rocky Mountains. A man of solid western stoicism which only barely conceal his hearty appetites, the young Foothills lived life in its fullest through a range of frontier occupations: rattle snake charmer, bear wrestler, bounty hunter and, of course, grocery clerk.
His woman, Dee
Leaving his life as a hired gun for the oil barons behind, Foothills grabs the first wagon train heading east. With Dee, his woman, by his side Mac faces the perils of London Ontario.

A man of culture as well as rugged good looks, Mac is the product of the finest institutions of higher learning on the Western plains including the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (the closest thing to Oxford northwest of Medicine Hat). This complex character has a checkered past, working in turns as a lone scribe in a one printing press town and as a hired gun for powerful oil interests.

It was the love of a good woman from the East that finally coaxed Mac leave his wild life behind to tackle the perils of life in London Ontario.
