The Carnival of Satire (#25)

the carnival of satireWe have a lively Carnival this week, all from submissions, nothing presented by Thag and the results of his “digging stick”. Enjoy!

BiBi Cambridge at BiBi Cambridge; Baseless Accusations has a post not to be missed in The ‘C’ Word. Hope to “see you next Thursday” BiBi!

In a related post, Ahistoricality, at The Weblog, has found a piece of bonefide satire with this Proposed New Logo for the Republican Party.

Tommy at Striving For Average takes flight with his funny take on Bird Hunting.

Elisson at Blog d’Elisson has a heart-warming tale about Mr. Kinky.

Aloysius at catymology has some research for the Phrase Freak to consider in All your snowclones are belong to us (TM).

Vox Poplar at Vox Poplar is Right About Everything & Don’t You Forget It! does a turn as Dante with Slobo is No Mo (Overheard in Hell).

And someplace else, it’s slightly colder. Justin Feng at Pererro presents Hail!

Mr. Right at The Right Place puts the question to rest. Bush is definitely Hitler.

Miriam at miriam’s ideas finds that, when it comes to Mr. Charm, Doctor wanted, psychic preferred.

Danger! Danger Will Robinson! Buckley F. Williams at The Nose On Your Face has a (*Hasselhoff Warning*): Right-Hooked On A Feeling?.

Chris Alexion at Welcome to the Fallout presents Job Creation Successful, Says Bush.

a4g at Point Five presents Al Qaeda Halts US Terror Cell.

And we’re not sure it’s satire, but Remulak MoxArgon at The MoxArgon Group has an alien Lookin’ 4 Luv on All the Wrong Planets, so we included it.

Thanks to everyone for their submissions. Remember you can submit here with this handy form, or here; the COS is listed at the Ubercarnival, and at the Blog Carnival too. Note: we’re pushing the deadline back to midnight, so now there’s no excuse.

I know my post isn’t the usual cutting satire you prefer, but I’m having a hard time finding just the right Queen to stand by me as I squash your puny planet like the andellugrian slug-mite it is.

I tried dating Angelina Jolie a couple of years ago, but I could take her anywhere without her showing up with a bunch of orphans and asking “Can I keep them?” I mean she’s beautiful and all that, but come on…

Anyhoo, I’m rambling, thanks for the plug. When my alien hordes subjugate your world I’ll find you a nice spot in the slave herds.

    ~Remulak MoxArgon,
    Your Future Ruler.

My only hope is that you and General Kang fight it out so long us puny humans can defend ourselves. 🙂 m.

Well dang… Mighty proud to have been included here. Thanks for that. Now I’m going to peruse the rest of you guys and see what’s up in these parts. Take care. See you all soon.

I promise that I will whip General Kang…. at Scrabble.

Hey, I speak 10 billion languages and I’m a damn fine speller, he’s a monkey with pretensions!

    Bwah-hah-hah!

BTW- nice carnival, keep it up.
